It's a spectacular small world! Wow--check out the outside of "it's a small world" at Disneyland. I enjoyed the day with Megan, Cory & Evelyn Tepfenhart and look forward to many more visits as I bought a year pass--woohoo!

Tonight was another Epic night and as I looked across the room, it was SO great to see so many familiar faces. Over the last year or so, many of the Epic peeps have become very good friends. And I am just very thankful!! :) 


So, I wanted to give a few shout-outs:

• Manny - We missed youuuuuuuu! But totally loved the video!
• Marghee - I LOVE your very animated stories and creativity! Working with you is so fun!
• Toby - Dude, you're a servant with such a tender heart! Yeah!
• Erik - Faithful, great communicator, perceptive - awesome!
• Jen - When are we gonna see Blindside---sheesh! And pick out your Bridesmaid dress? Can't wait! Love ya!
• Cody - thanks for helping clean up tonight (and take the left-overs--I know it's not being wasted)!
• Josh - thanks for your thumb's up tonight - that encouraged me. :)
• Sara - "roooooomieeeee!" you have such a beautiful smile!

Aaaand, I look forward to continuing getting to know more Epic peeps! Each one of you bring something unique--love it. :)

You're invited to join me to a fun and exciting Book Release Party for a friend of mine, Lindsey N. Isham. She just published her first book titled: "NO SEX IN THE CITY: One Virgin's Confession of Love, Lust, Dating and Waiting."

This is will be formal event where the women are to come in one of their old bridesmaid's dresses and men are to wear a tux or suit. So, if you don't get to dress up often and like to, this is your opportunity.

The night will include prizes for the best and worst dressed, a scavenger hunt, book signing, a raffle and more.

We drove about an hour southwest of Flagstaff to Sedona, where they're known for the spectacular red rock. Just take a look--isn't is beeeauuuutiful???

This Thanksgiving I was invited by my friend, Karen, to visit her in Flagstaff where she's been completing her masters degree. Our mutual friend, Ericka, also made the trip up and we've been having such a wonderful time! I thought I'd post just a few pics from our adventures. We've been doing a lot of relaxing mixed in with outdoorsy fun; we spent all day on Thanksgiving cookin' up a delicious din-din; we did some shopping in the way-cute and unique shops in there old downtown area. Sunday was a perrrrrrfect day to spend in Julian! Warm, breezy, and full of sunshine. :) I went with my friends, the Pinsi Family, and had a wonderful time. We started off with lunch in a really cute place called Miner's Diner followed by walking through the little shops, buying candy, chocolates, and Julian jams and honey. The outing ended with warm, crumbly apple pie and ice cream at Mom's Pie Shop. The line as usual crept outside and wrapped out front, but we enjoyed watching the pie-makers in the window. I just realized that I haven't posted pics in awhile because I usually just upload them to Facebook or MySpace. So, I thought I'd upload some of my adventures over the last couple of months...

Well, I've just spent time listening to some of my favorite songs from when I was younger (elementary school to early 20s). They brought up such fun memories for me. So, if you're hearing a very cheesy song from the past or maybe a song you've never heard it's because I created a PlayList (www.playlist.com) and posted it at the very bottom of this blog. Have fun checking out what I used to listen to. And here are some of my memories associated with most of the songs on the playlist.

Every Breath You Take, The Police - I remember borrowing this tape (Every Breath You Take: The Singles) from my friend, Joanna Reed, in high school and it's one of those that are so good, you just listen to it over and over for like two weeks and you can't get enough. I recently heard this song again and it's just as good as the first time I heard it.

These are the Days, 10,000 Maniacs - Another one of those CDs where you just listen to it over and over and love every song. It actually was one of my roommates CDs when I was 22ish - she never got that CD back--oops!!!

Wake Me Up, WHAM! - WOW! This is a way blast from the past. I think I was still in elementary school??? And my family used to go camping/fishing at Lake Mead with another family. The girls were a couple years older than I was and they were in love with WHAM. After that summer, I was hooked too.

Only a Lad, Oingo Boingo - Okay, this group I've probably seen in concert five times. Unless you're from Southern Californa and older than 30, you probably have never heard of this band. They were one of my favs in high school. Danny Elfman, the lead singer and main songwriter for this group is actually very well known for writing musical scores for movies and TV shows; just to name a few: Nightmare before Christmas, Desperate Housewives, Spiderman.

Cruel Summer, Bananarama - Loved this song when I heard it in the first Karate Kid movie. Need I say more?

Lost In Your Eyes, Debbie Gibson - Oh, Debbie. My mom bought me her tapes on my 13th Birthday because when I saw her perform on some music awards show, I told my mom that I really liked the song she was playing. I also learned how to play it on the piano and if you asked me now I could still play the very beginning chords! LOVE IT!

She's in Love with the Boy, Trisha Yearwood - My first official favorite country song.

The River, Garth Brooks - I was so drawn to the harmony in this song. The woman's voice is so pretty. Plus the lyrics are great too!

Greatest Love of All, Whitney Houston - My favorite song in 6th grade. I think we sang this in our 6th grade promotion - HAHA!

Luka, Suzanne Vega - Do you remember the first CD you bought? I remember I worked at Sam Goody's Musicland in high school and that's when I switched from tapes to CDs. My first 2 CDs were Suzanne Vega ones. Kinda sad.

We are in Love, Harry Connick Jr. - One of my high school best friends, Jessica Roos, and I were absolutely in love with Harry Connick Jr. We would listen to his CDs for hours, watch anything on TV that had him in it and went to all his concerts. The first of his concerts we attended, we stayed late and actually got his autograph as he left the Open Air Theater at SDSU and walked to his tour bus. I still have the signed ticket.

I Think We're Along Now, Tiffany - Another 6th grade fav.

California Dreamin', The Mamas and the Papas - Yep, owned their tapes. Loved 'em. I think I was born a bit late, what do you think?

Hold On, Wilson Phillips - Another 90s classic group! I think this is how I learned to harmonize.

Step by Step, New Kids on the Block - Ummm, what junior higher didn't love NKOTB?

Closer to Fine, Indigo Girls - Another group that helped me learn how to harmonize. Their guitar is just phenomenal. Their lyrics I don't agree with most of the time, but the music is just so pretty to me. This is another group, that my friend, Jessica and I would sing for hours and hours to, sing the different parts, and I think I've seen them in concert like 7 times.

Boot Scootin' Boogie, Brooks and Dunn - Thanks to my mom, I learned the line dance to this song in high school and still do it at InCahoots now! So, you can blame my mom for my country music-line dancing craze. :)

A Song for You, The Carpenters - Oh this brings me back to some good memories! My mom bought many records (vinyl) of The Carpenters when she was in high school. She kept them, and when I was in high school I used to listen to these records (and others) with my good friend, Mikey VanMeter. Karen Carpenter's voice is so rich and soothing - it's so sad she died at such a young age - devastating really.

Well, I'll be surprised if anyone actually read's this blog entry. It's pretty long, but I had so much fun listening to the music, reminiscing and writing about it. Did any of these songs bring back memories for you? Or am I too old and you can't relate to it? Haha. Oh well. I enjoyed it.

"I sure enjoy me a good rodeo!" This time it was the Bulls Only Rodeo. I got some good laughs at the Sheep Riding part of the competition where little kids grab hold of the neck of a sheep and try to hang on for dear life. It's pretty funny, so I've posted two videos for you. The first kid didn't stay on for too long, but you'll see the second kid did a lot better. They made me laugh so hard! Have fun...I did!

Here is my friend's baby, little Emma. Isn't she cute? She was only 5 days old here--I've never held a baby that young because I've always been too scared. Haha!

Well, just wanted to show you little Emma. Babies are miracles, that's for sure!

Yay! Chanda, who came to my very first small group (Bible Study), like 7 years ago is now in Switzerland with her husband, Philip. They emailed me a few days ago to let me know that they are four months pregnant with their first kiddo!

Another friend, Angie, who recently moved to Simi Valley with her husband Josh just sent me a video posted on youtube of their great news. They are pregnant too! You can watch their video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVu7SIhZnOU.

So, just rejoicing in their great news! I can't wait to see their little ones.
