My dad's the hardest worker I know. Here he is this Saturday morn working on a home project. During the week he's up at 4:30 am and back at 4:30 pm. He's been enjoying his job (machinist & supervisor) of 30ish years. He's frugal, generous, and diligent.
When the Bible talks about being like the hard-working ant (Proverbs 6), I have a really great example through my dad's everyday life.
That's my bro with his hands outstretched. This was at a work party/grand opening and they had professional bikers doing jumps and stunts. One of them asked Danny to get up on the ramp so the guy could jump over him. Pretty cool! My mom noticed the eagle in the background and it made her think of a particular verse in the Bible, so she added it to the pic.
God is good!!!

This year, we celebrated my Mom's Birthday at Shogun. It was tons of fun and incredibly yummy food!
Thanks, Mom, for being so amazing! I seriously don't know what I would do without your unconditional love, consistent thoughtful care, gentle listening ears/heart and so much more. I hope I can come close to being a woman like you!!!!!
I just wanted to share some great pictures of my dad out on his boat. He was with his long time friend and fishing mentor, Verdine, and it just so happened that they ran into some other fishing buddies that day and that's how they got these great picture. Oh, and my dad would probably want me to tell you that he caught a 35-40 pound Yellow Tail (the second largest he's ever caught) the same day these pictures were taken. Too bad he didn't get a picture of that one.
Some of my family visited from Minnesota and North Carolina. It was great to see them!! The above picture was taken at a local country bar--I can't believe my Grandma came out--that was a hoot! She even sipped down a tasty margarita.

On Father's Day, my dad and I took Copperfield to Dog Beach in OB. We walked along the water, watching Copperfield run into the water after seaweed and then bring it back to us.
I love this picture! Copper looks so distinguished and my dad just looks like my dad! :)
Along with a having a nice morning, later on that day my family came over to the house for a BBQ. We had country-style ribs, BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, macaroni salad, and beans. Delic!
I am definitely thankful for these good times!
